UK Born Child Passport

Post by Dilliwalah » Sun Nov 14, 2021 10:16 pm

Hi All

I want to apply passport for my 2 month old baby. Born in UK. Father was given ILR in 2020.

In the passport application it is asking birth certificate and marriage certificate of maternal and paternal grandparents.

Can someone in the group let me know if this is valid?

I believe all that is needed is the birth certificate and proof of your ILR, i.e. your BRP card. That is your child's claim to British citizenship.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Yes. The ILR BRP is important.
