I have received a letter today with the declaration of fidelity and stating that the ceremony next month is cancelled. The letter say that I need to submit the declaration together with the steps outlined in a letter dated 11th of November (i assume the approval letter) that I never received.

Can anyone tell me what are those steps? I assume I need to pay the 950€ and get a photo, but I don't have the datails :(

Got my letter yesterday, same for my husband. For context, we applied as non-eu after 5 years with stamp 4. The letter mentions a ceremony on the 13th but please notice that the ceremony is now cancelled / postponed. More infos here: https://www.irishimmigration.ie/citizen ... postponed/

we applied at the same time, I hope you hear good news soon. If not, I recommend sending a FOI request if you haven't yet. Super easy, free and might give you insights on the status.

Actually thought about making another FOI, but i feel they might refuse it because i've made FOI request twice. One in late 2020 and June 2021. Also my solicitor just sent a warning letter few days ago to citizenship to respond within 21 days or we go for Judicial Review. Do you think it make sense to still make a request for FOI?

Thanks, I'm just having terrible anxiety now because that first approval letter never got home, so I don't know how much time I've to do those steps that I never was told about

Did you receive the letter by post or by email? What are the documents they are asking you to supply? Do they need the original GNIB card to send?

You can go to the website https://inisonline.jahs.ie/ to submit the photo and pay the fees.

The letter today was by post, and it only says that I need to fill and submit the declaration of fidelity in addition to the steps outlined in the letter dated on the 11th, which i never received.

I am a EU citizen so I don't have a GNIB card

That's exciting! A friend mentioned that it took him 3 weeks to get the certificate after sending the declaration. One question: are they still asking to send the physical IRP card as well via the post? thanks

I received this email

As indicated previously, your application has been submitted to the Minister for a decision. Unfortunately we are unable to give you a timeline, this office will be in touch as soon as a decision has
been made.

Due to the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 Pandemic and the attendant requirement to comply with public health guidelines, significant delays are being experienced in general processing, particularly those functions which require a staff presence in the office. We are working very hard to maintain as prompt a service delivery as possible, under the circumstances. As you can appreciate, the primary responsibility of this office has to be the welfare of the general public and the health and safety of staff members. Your continued patience in this matter is appreciated.
