Previous Immigration Applications

Post by cps111 » Mon Dec 06, 2021 10:06 am

I have ILR and I am eligible for citizenship.

In the online form, it is asking for previous immigration applications.

I came to the UK in 2006 and since then made 8 applications in total. But I wont know exact dates for the initial ones.

So how many details I need to provide?

Thanks.

Does the application provide an option to attach a cover letter?

I am making the application online.

Current Passport

My current passport expires in 6 months.

Should I renew my passport and then apply for naturalisation?

There are no immediate travel plans.

No.
Thanks for reply.

So I can apply without renewing the passport. Is that correct?

PCN and NFA

Post by cps111 » Tue Dec 07, 2021 1:54 pm

Should I declare the following:

1. PCN - driving in bus lane, got PCN and paid the fine on same day
2. Arrest with NFA - I was arrested due to domestic altercation with partner but was released with NFA.

Thanks.

Topics merged.

Please keep all questions about the same applications in one topic. It is not necessary to start a new topic with each question.

I have added information about PCN.

I will very much appreciate if someone can please help me with NFA point.

I am confused because in application it only asks about conviction and I don’t have any.

Thanks very much.

I read the guidance again here

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... _final.pdf

On page 33, it says
You must say whether you have been involved in anything which might indicate that
you are not of good character. You must give information about any of these
activities no matter how long ago this was. Checks will be made in all cases and your
application may fail and your fee will not be fully refunded if you make an untruthful
declaration. If you are in any doubt about whether you have done something or it has
been alleged that you have done something which might lead us to think that you are
not of good character you should say so.
So, should I declare about NFA in the extra section in the end? I have added PCN in driving section, so might as well add NFA as well.
