Query about Original Bank Statements for Tier-1 Visa

Hi,

I am planning to apply for a Tier-1 Visa for both my wife and myself together. I am wondering whether I need to submit the original bank statement for each of our applications or will one original statement suffice for both of us?
Secondly, can somebody provide me with the link to where it states that the Bank Statement and Maintenance Fund statement should be issued within 7 days of the visa application?
