How long did it take for your application to be processed and was it based on residency or marriage? If you don't mind telling it.

Hi Guys,

I have finally received the naturalisation cert on Saturday (18/12) printed on 16/12. The long wait is finally over! This forum is invaluable during my naturalisation journey. Thank you so much for the never-ending support, guys! Best of luck everyone!

Hi

I have received my certificate today (dated 15th Dec) but in the second paragraph they have written:

"... conditions in relation to the grant of a certificate of naturalisation to her have been fulfilled"

The problem with that is I am a male and that "her" doesn't sound right to me.

Has anyone else has same issue ? What should I do ?

Take a deep breath and read it again, that "her" refers to the minister. All good, congratulations :)

Mine was based on residency. I have applied in Jan 2020. It took nearly 1 year 11 months.

Nowhere on the certificate gender pronouns are used for the applicant. Applicants are called applicants and she and her refer to the Minister for Justice, including the second paragraph.

Read the whole paragraph again: conditions were fulfilled to the Minister, not you. You are not issuing the certificate to yourself right? If this answer still does not satisfy you, please contact a native speaker.

How did you contacted them, I have sent them an email but no reply, and still waiting for certificate.

Anyone else received their certificate after Christmas holidays?
