Marriage Certificate for British Citizenship

Dear Admin & respected members

A quick question for your kind help;

My brother applied his British Citizenship but he lost his some papers including Marriage Certificate.
Is marriage certificate requires for British Citizenship (no copy available), if he apply marriage certificate in Pakistan it will take 2-3 months, next months his BC is due.

If he’s married to a British citizen, then they may require the marriage certificate. Then they may ask for it.

If you are not applying on the basis of being spouse of a British citizen then you don't have to submit a marriage certificate.

Thanks.....Not on the basis of spouse. We got ILR after 6 years DLR basis.
