1. red ticket -> Year prior to application not continuous
Based on the information entered there has been a break in your permissions in the year prior to the date of application and you have 265 days continuous reckonable residence immediately prior to the date of application you entered.
2. green tick -> Has 5 Years Residency
You should ensure that your registration with the Garda National Immigration Bureau is kept up to date during your residency in the State and that your permission stamp(s) cover the year prior to application without any break.
I am getting the message like " red ticket as year prior to the application is not continuous but i was out of ireland only for 2 and half weeks" and got a green tick as I stayed more than 5 years residency.
Message from citizen information website:
Residence in the State:
You must have lived in the State for a certain length of time. The specific requirements are that you:
Have a period of 365 days* (1 year) continuous reckonable residence in the State immediately before the date of your application for naturalisation and
During the 8 years before that, have had a total reckonable residence in the State of 1,460 days* (4 years)
You can leave Ireland for up to 6 weeks (in total) per year and still be considered resident in that year. If you leave for more than 6 weeks in one year, you should not count this period when you are calculating your reckonable residence. If you had to leave Ireland for longer than 6 weeks because of an emergency, you should explain this in your application.
If you spend more than 6 weeks outside of Ireland in the year immediately before your application, you may have to wait until the following year to make an application.
Please clarify the below queries according to the above message from citizens information websites,
1. am i eligible to apply naturalization as i was out of Ireland more than 6 weeks due to personal visit to india?. I can provide the letter why I was there for long time?.
2. why I am getting red tick as I was out of Ireland only 2 and half weeks in 2021?. did I make any mistakes in the residence calculator?.
