Financial requirements

Post by Monty1978 » Thu Dec 16, 2021 4:16 pm

Hello all.

As of April this year my company fell short of the financial requirement for the spouse visa by approx 4k. We never envisioned this as a problem because my wife is self employed. Her income brings us well above the financial requirement.

The problem we have got is that we have to apply for an extension by Jan 10th and we have not yet got an SA302. This is partially because due to covid this year it took forever to obtain a national insurance no. for her which you need prior to setting up an account with HMRC.

Consequently we are worried that we will not get a UTR no and SA302 in time for our visa extension.

HELP!!

Financial requirements - Employed or self employed??

Post by Monty1978 » Sun Jan 02, 2022 3:33 pm

Hi all.

I am the director of my own company. I am for insurance purposes, employed, as I pay PAYE and take dividends.

However, I can't be certain of my status for visa purposes. Does anyone know if I'm employed or self employed?

Ta

Proof of ownership

Post by Monty1978 » Wed Jan 05, 2022 7:08 pm

Hi all.

Very succinctly; Are downloaded (unofficial) land registry documents sufficient for proof of ownership?

Thanks

How about a solicitors letter showing proof of purchase also?

There's a difference between a self employed and direct of a limited company under immigration rules. You will get SA302 if you are self employed and CT600 If you are a director of a limited company.

Thanks, yeah I eventually figured that out.

I am still unsure as to whether the "unofficial" copy of land registry title that I downloaded is sufficient or whether I have to get an official one.

I only have a few day to pay and put in application so I am hoping the former rather than the latter.

Online download copy which cost £3 should suffice.

Hi,

Does anyone know if I absolutely have to provide dividend vouchers?

My accountant does not do them so I can't provide them.

Please, if anyone knows if it is essential to provide dividend vouchers?

Thanks in advance.
