When submitting documents is it better that I go to VFS in the Uk, what do we do? Do you know the process, for example pay a fee and then the staff help? Does anyone have this experience to share it please?
Best is to upload the documents online yourself if you are able to.
Thank you.

So, for example if I have a digital version of a document upload it and if I have a paper version of a document scan and upload? So we can mix?

Scanned documents are what is used now, if you have hardcopy you will still have to get it scanned and upload.

Can I please get your guidance on the employer letter. It says that it should include how long I’ve been getting that salary but my company won’t include and said they can only provide this letter. I’ve attached it.

If from the start date you have being getting at least or more than the required minimum financial requirement then you should be alright.

I’m afraid I started earning above the requirement from June 2020. So I’m going to have to somehow try to get them to write how long I’ve been getting my current amount? Thank you for your useful and kind input.

Thank you TODMATT.

I just got my bank statements today and got every page stamped but the stamp is a bit faded at the bottom, guess they were running out of ink. For example if the branch of the bank was “Orange Street” it’s hard to see. Everything else is clear though, like date, sort code and bank name.

Thank you. Also in August my company made a mistake and underpaid me by 80 pounds, they paid me it the next 2 days and shows in my statements and payslips. Should I get a letter from payroll to confirm this? Or can I just add it to extra information and highlight it on the bank statement and payslips?

If the short payment did not make your income go below the required monthly amount that meets up with the financial requirement then no need to be worried about it.
If it does, include it as part of extra info and refer to the dates. Do not use highlighting pen on the bank statements and payslips.

Can I go to VFS and scan my documents in the UK and my wife scan her documents at VFS in her country? I was thinking of sending my documents to her by Fedex actually to make it simple. I don’t have a scanner and the scanner apps on phones don’t work well.

There's NO need to send documents via Fedex again because the documents can be scanned to your partner. If you have idiot-phone, use the Notes it has a scanner embedded in it.

Thank you Amazonian and Tod.

My wife recently updated passport. The thing is, the old one has all travel history and stamps etc, should we just include this in extra information?

You just need to scanned all passport pages for the new passport and provide entry dates into the country in the application form.

Hi thank you. I’m about apply, my last payslip was from 21st December 2021. I heard something about the last payslip can’t be more 28 days old is that true? Also I was told not to user a highlighter on bank statements but how can I make it easier for the ECO, use a pencil?

You heard correctly, payslips part of specified evidence that's time based.

Thank you Amazonian. My latest payslip was from yesterday. If I provide payslips from January 2021 to January 2022 that’s 13. Or should I just give from February 2021 to January 2022 to make it 12?

I think I’ve made a big mistake.mwhen did the application form online and paid on the 20th Jan. But my latest payslip on the 21st of Jan and bank statement on the 22nd. I just knew the oldest document had to be within 28 days. I’m worried they will fail us because I’ve just read it documents can be after the date of application.

So we went ahead and cancelled. No appointments booked. So we just just start a new one now? And should we mention that we cancelled the first one and the reason in the new application?
