Hi All,

I paid the fee on the 23rd of November 2021 and I posted the signed declaration on the 24th of November 2021; received on the 25th of November 2021 (An Post tracking).

From my understanding the online status usually moves from Submitted to Processed. Did anyone receive their certificate without the online status moving to Processed?

I know the approval letter stated that it could take up to 6 week for the certificate to be issued, but I am hopeful that I will received before Xmas. :)
Hello Dub23
congratulation you received your certificate
I paid 950 euro fee and completed the online form also sent the affidavit form back on 12 of January,
so my question is that how and where to know the status change from submit to processed,
million thanks
Hi

Congratulations on reaching the final stage, can you please tell me when did you submit the first applicaltion and the criteria, is it based on 5 year residence in Ireland. Just trying to get some idea on timing :)
Thanks

Thanks!

You have log in to your INIS Online profile (where you paid your fee) and then open your submitted payment application. The payment process is split into different steps and on the last step it indicates the status.

Hi again DUB23
Thanks a lot for your kind reply,
I did that but the only steps I see are "Introduction, Data privacy Notice, Applicant Details, Ceremony dates, Supporting Documents, submit" and nothing more
I explain that when I submitted the form, an email received that you have payed the 950 fee and will reach an update email.

I’m very confused with the application stages/process and it’s order specifically with evetting, “for applications before April 2021”.

Is the below order of stages is correct ??? Please suggest, it will be helpful for , many!!!

1) application submitted
2) receive acknowledgment letter (with passport - not always )
3) second stage letter (not always sent)
4) approval letter
5) pay the fees
6) receive naturalisation certificate.

Is the above order correct or missing something ? Where evetting step comes in ?

I think after acknowledgment you get a link to your email or e-vetting, not sure tho.

Seems like I'm wrong, as people in other threads stating it happens before approval. see post2051397.html#p2051397.

Thanks I saw that post and that’s why want to clarify , is evetting requested for all or most of applications before approval ( for applications submitted before April 2021)

As I don’t see in post for most of already approved application we’re explicitly request evetting and I guess was done by ISD without evetting request from applicants ?

Hi guys

Anyone from May2020 still waiting?

Since I applied I got the acknowledgement letter with reference, got my Passport etc back , a good few months went by they asked me to send over , documents from revenue, GP, Social welfare, (sent)

Months went by got another letter asking for bank statements (sent). I have only received 3 letters from them and non of them is the “second letter “

Now dead silent. It’s just the not knowing what’s happening that’s killing us :( my application is through Irish spouse.

How about someone starts the fresh petition about this long processing time!!

Minister said they want to reduce the processing time back to 6-9 months but still people are waiting from quite long time over an year or two.

I dont know if this is helpful. Applied citizenship in July 2020. Acknowledgement letter a month later with passport as well as reciept. Silence till now. Applied for FOI, November, was told id get it in December. I didnt. They give me a new deadline and on that exact day, I recieved the documents. Application as well as all the correspondence was not included in the FOI release because of Section 15. They said it would be expected that we already had a copy of this. However, It was noted in the email recieved with the FOI, the exact number of pages of the application as well as the time span. They just dont bother rereleasing the info to applicants because of the huge amt of work. So I could tell we had not missed any correspondence because time span was between July and August of 2020. Nothing since then. Garda Vetting had been completed since Feb 2021 but the last time it seemed anyone from their office looked at application was December 2020. At this time, the application was marked as awaiting processing in my INIS list of applications document. Thats all they had on file. Applying as a Stamp 3 NON EU.

Dont expect any email from them till the 1st. I'd completely forgotting about the request I made because they did the exact same to me. It seems standard or they are just really busy at this time of the year.

Same boat - I applied January 2020 and received my number and passport back. Nothing until January 2021, when I received a request for documents. Then I received a request for different documents in July 2021. In October 2021 I received an e-vetting request and the disclosure was viewed by the end of the month. I got excited that things were moving and I was hoping to receive my approval any day. Then crickets. I completed an FOI in early December and they sent the documents last week. Same as you, no application or correspondence were included, and the only information as to status was awaiting processing. Basically, the only things that have been done with my file in two years are scribbles on the stamp pages making sure I met the residency requirements, requests for documents, and the e-vetting. Very frustrating and disheartening - as I'm sure you felt when you viewed your FOI response.

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2020 Pending Approval

Hi all,

I've lived in Ireland since 1999.

I applied December 2020 (UK so snuck in as still EU resident).
Passport returned March 2021
Received Garda E-=Vetting request on Monday (returned same day regsitered so delivered Tuesday)

I provided 6 years of paperwork to be on the safe side.

Just wondering if I should see the vetting form as a good thing in peoples experience?

Thanks for any advice.

Hi oakers

I am in the same boat.

Applied in December 2020, got the e-vetting form yesterday via post, sent it same day and it was delivered today.

Id day its the last stop before issuing approval.

Based on the e-vetting topic, a lot of people have got approval in a span of few weeks after the e-vetting was completed online.

I am now waiting for the Garda link to complete the e-vetting online.

I hope it helps.

Could you kindly let us know when you get the Garda link would you? Just trying to gauge how long it takes to receive the link.

Ta!
