Tier 1 applicantions under BHC Chennai

Post by amit0277 » Thu Oct 30, 2008 2:31 pm

I have heard that BHC Chennai is taking more time to process the application as there is a huge backlog and less Entry Clearance Office to work on the application.

I am creating this thread for people whose application is being process with BHC Chennai to share thier experience and progress

hi,
Applied on 20/10/08

Called bhc chennai on 15/10/08 they said its taking 2-3months to process as severe backlog and were dealing with august applications. they also said that they had only 1 eco to deal with all tier1s and that he was doing nearly 40 applications per day.

called bhc chennai today. they said its taking 4 weeks (20days) to process applications. i dont know how true this is. 2weeks for integra and 2weeks for application process.

I hope it actually takes only 20days.

cheers.

I applied on 15/Sep/2008 from VFS Hyderabad.
Last week Friday, the status was "Integra complete, in queue of ECO".
Called BHC today morning, he asks me to call in the second week of November.
Seems it's a bit more than 2 weeks for visa after Integra.

Call BHC on 044 42192310/42192308.
Between 8.30 and 11.30am. Best time to get connected is around 8.30am. If it is engaged keep trying. they are very busy and it may take really long to get connected.

Hi all,

Called BHC chennai. they told me that ques are really long and very slow moving. My integra was completed last week and i need to wait 3 to 4 weeks more for a decision to be made and it can even take longer.

There is nothing you can do but wait. I have left a living a job and all behind in london and have come to apply for the visa. Looks like i have to resign my job and say goodbye to london and be prepared to receive my documents only in mid december.

Cheers guys.

Hi Cheekychic

Well I am a new and a silent member of this forum.

I understand what all you going through as i am going through the same sort of bad experiences in INDIA.

To start with my back ground done my MS from London and been working there as a research engineer just got back to INDIA for Tier 1 and struck here, as well worried about job and promises of getting back on time finally ending up with pressure and frustration.

Applied on 26TH aug 2008 (HYD VFS) ,its been more than 2 months.

Integra check :8th september

Status on VFS: "forwarded to BHC".

Status from Chennai BHC by Mail twice : "Decision still pending".

Status from Chennai BHC Over Phone (3rd nov) : "Will make a decision end of this week".

Conclusion is "GOD KNOWS WELL" never trust Chennai BHC.

Cheers

The good news is that, my dad called me now and said that they have received the courier from Chennai and the Visa has been granted for 3 Yrs till 2012.
Eagarly waiting to go home and see the stamping myself.

Here are the timelines

Category - Tier 1 (General)
HSMP Approval - Yes

Applied From - VFS, Bangalore
Integra - No idea

PS: Looking at the present Job market conditions, I requested the ECO to stamp the visa starting 01/01/2009)

Hi,

I applied on 20th october from VFS BLR. But mine is a re-application as there was some issues with my first application. My payslips (3 of them) were ignored and I was also told to show gbp800 as i hsve lived in UK for 4years. and my least balance was 2699 on one day.

so this application they did not do integra again. they said it take only 2weeks from 20th october.

but each time i get a different reply from BHC.

cheers

Tier 1 Rejected - Chennai BHC - October Applicant

Post by tamilank » Sat Nov 15, 2008 8:01 am

Hi All,

I had applied for Tier 1 - General Migrant Visa on 3rd October.

My visa application have been refused on 14/11/2008 due to lack of maintenance of funds on a particular day (21/7/2008- this day only).

Administrative Review:

My Application for entry clearance as a Tier1 (General) Migrant has been rejected onParagraph 245C of the Immigration Rules.

My claim period was from 03/07/2008 to 03/10/2008.

"REFUSAL OF ENTRY CLEARANCE" letter states that "Minimum balance maintained during the 3-month period is Rs.2,31,249 as on 21/07/2008
(UK equivalent is 2719.49 GBP)" .Apart from this particular day, My balance was didn't go below the required amount.

1. My question here is, if I go for Administrative Review, Can I submit new bank statement for new period from 14/08/2008 to 14/11/2008? During this period, my fund maintenance is as per the guidance.

Fresh Application:

During this rejection, I have received my passport only. Other documents pertaining to Qualification, Previous Earnings, English Language
Requirements, etc are retained by BHC. And point claimed for these sections has been awarded by BHC.

2. Can I make fresh application immediately without appealing Administrative Review?

3. If I make a fresh application, I could only submit Bank Statement for Fund Maintenance. Does the other documents retained by BHC will be taken into consideration?

4. How the fund maintenance is assessed? Currency Conversion Rate at the date of making application is taken into accoount or balance must be
equal to the each day conversion rate?

For Example,
If 1 GBP is 85.3 INR on 03/08/2008, my balance must be Rs.2,38,840?
If 1 GBP is 87.3 INR on 04/08/2008, my balance must be Rs.2,44,440?
OR
If 1 GBP is 83.4 INR on the date of making the application, Rs.2,33,520 is sufficient balance for each day during the 3 month?

I kindly request you to suggest me for the above 4 questions. I got very confused over these questions.

Please advice me
