Skilled worker visa extension

Hi all,

will greatly appreciate if anyone can answer my below question.

I'm on Tier 2 general getting expired on 02/05/2022, my employer is going to process extension soon.

1. Is it possible to put start dates on extension COS as 01/05/2022 and end date as 01/05/2024, so that i can be eligible for ILR from 05/04/2024(28days from visa issued date).

2. Once extension is approved in april, in case if issue date on new BRP is 01/05/2022. Can i keep my old BRP till 01/05/2022?

1. The start date should be day after expiry date, so 3/5.
2. The issue date on new BRP is always the day when visa approved. You are expected to send back the old after receiving the new one asap.
