Travel after citizenship ceremony

Post by vizlax1 » Thu Feb 03, 2022 11:19 pm

Hello everyone,

I have my citizenship ceremony booked for 8Feb and have overseas travel booked for mid-March. Am wondering if I will be able to travel on my current passport should my new British passport not arrive on time for travel ? Are there any restrictions I should know of ?

Thank you in advance!

If your current passport allows you to visit UK, you should be fine overall. You may be stopped on immigration as you'll be shown in their system as British Citizen, so they may wonder why aren't you using your British passport.
