Hi Raja/Oakers

Thanks for sharing the info, good to know there are movements on late 2020 applications.
Can you please tell us what is the basis of your application.. (5-year No-EU/EU/Spouse of Irish/EU etc.)

Thanks

Hi all,

I've lived in Ireland since 1999.

I applied December 2020 (UK so snuck in as still EU resident).
Passport returned March 2021
Received Garda E-=Vetting request on Monday (returned same day regsitered so delivered Tuesday)

I provided 6 years of paperwork to be on the safe side.

Just wondering if I should see the vetting form as a good thing in peoples experience?

Thanks for any advice.

I received my evetting form in Nov 2021 and Garda completed their review on 1st Dec. Today I am still waiting on the approval.

Could you kindly let us know when you get the Garda link would you? Just trying to gauge how long it takes to receive the link.

Ta!
Hi,

Thanks for the reply. No problem at all if you could do the same :)
Hi Oakers,

Just wondering if you got Garda link yet?

One of my friends got the Garda vetting link the same day his form was received by Citizenship Office this week.

Its been two days for me since my form was delivered but no link yet.

Thanks!

Cheers Oakers.

I have emailed Citizenship with all the scanned copies of the form n documents I mailed just to confirm they received what I sent.

My mail was delivered to Tipperary DSU but no one signed. So emailed to make sure.

Hope we get the link soon.

In all fairness they may well have processed the form and the delay could easily be on the side of the Garda. There are staff shortages everywhere at present with COVID outbreaks.

I'm sure we'll get it soon enough.

I just got the mail saying it is now with the Immigration service :o

EDIT: They've now sent it back to start the vetting process. Probably automated process.

Hehe, ditto.

Brilliant, great news and happy days. I think it takes couple of weeks for vetting process to complete.

You can see the sample stages in the below link:

https://vetting.garda.ie/Content/UserGu ... rGuide.pdf

Once its complete, approval should be in 3 months I reckon.

God speed and fingers crossed for all of us.

I dont know if this is helpful. Applied citizenship in July 2020. Acknowledgement letter a month later with passport as well as reciept. Silence till now. Applied for FOI, November, was told id get it in December. I didnt. They give me a new deadline and on that exact day, I recieved the documents. Application as well as all the correspondence was not included in the FOI release because of Section 15. They said it would be expected that we already had a copy of this. However, It was noted in the email recieved with the FOI, the exact number of pages of the application as well as the time span. They just dont bother rereleasing the info to applicants because of the huge amt of work. So I could tell we had not missed any correspondence because time span was between July and August of 2020. Nothing since then. Garda Vetting had been completed since Feb 2021 but the last time it seemed anyone from their office looked at application was December 2020. At this time, the application was marked as awaiting processing in my INIS list of applications document. Thats all they had on file. Applying as a Stamp 3 NON EU.
basicly same thing show up in my foi request nothing usefull .is there any update on your application as you are also waiting since july 2020 ?

I applied in 08/2020,and never got anything yet,i applied for foi and it was really useless because they never disclosed anything related to their processing.i asked the TD to follow up and he got same response application is being processed,i believe they have the oldest system yo process and staff is working from home and doing nothing.

not a single update. Only showed old Garda vetting request done in 2021. Then application marked as awaiting processing. applied with a lawyer who has said we will write to them at 2 year mark if we hear nothing. hopefully that does something.

Nope. It takes roughly 2 weeks. I reckon this Friday or Monday. I bet yours is processing like mine.

Does anyone knows usually what month the ceremony takes place or what month approvals received in 2020. Could it be at a similar timeframe?

I have to travel home and can't wait for this to end.
