Overseas Child British passport renewal from UK

Hi ,

My child is a british passport holder. We are currently living overseas in india.

My child passport is expiring next month in February.

I am due to travel to UK in march (without my child).

Can i bring my child passport to UK and renew it from there or do i need to renew from india.

Please note : my child will not be travelling with me. Its only me coming to uk for a month.

Has anybody tried renewing their child passport in uk while child is based overseas.

Can't advise on that but I'm not sure why renewing it online is not an option.

from india , we will have to go to british embassy to submit the application and its 6 month process....any advice from other members of this forums
