I applied in June 2020 but still radio silence like everyone else. I applied for FOI at the beginning of this year and received it last week and looks like the last thing that was done is the Garda vetting in December 2020.

Since very few applications have been approved recently, I'm hoping that a big batch of applications will start getting approvals soon and we will all celebrate finally in a big ceremony. But I'm just a dreamer

It seems it goes like that actually. They approved lots of people around the end of last year for the cancelled ceremony in December and since them I haven't seen anyone being approved here. With covid now calming down they'll probably schedule another ceremony before the summer and looking at the dates of past years it's probably gonna be around April-May.

I sent them email for feedback but still no response. Maybe I should send them daily until they finally respond.

Asking MP does it help to get feedback?

Has anyone recently got a response from ISD and how long does it take to get a reply? I have a feeling it's taking 3-4 weeks for them to reply - if someone can validate it's correct or not?

Finally got a reply:

"This application is at an advanced stage of processing and will be
submitted to minister for decision as expeditiously as possible. While it
is not possible to give an exact timeframe, this office will be in touch as
soon as a decision has been reached."

Hey,

I requested the application status at mid of July 2021 by email and received similar response at mid of December 2021.
I don't even wait for it, my feelings was that this email was ignored or lost.
It was really surprise that they answer my email after so many months, even it was ok to read the similar default answer.

I need to travel due to family health reasons and waiting not knowing when exactly to get the decision is crazy.

I have been waiting for 20 months and Vetted is already done, I don't get it why still a delay! It should have already been submitted to the minister of justice for decision.

Are we having a ceremony or is it postal approval like in 2021?

Got Approval today. The letter was dated 08/02/2022. Please check the 2020 timeline thread for more details.

I have sent email asking about my application status two weeks back but never got reply. Today got approval letter. I have requested for FOI in Sept 2021, which I got back in Oct 2021 showed Garda vetting was done in Feb 2021.

Congrats, excellent news.

Any mentions of ceremony or you need to send the declaration stuff (non-ceremony option) ?

Just curious.

Thanks!

Just to confirm, did you get any e-vetting request to complete earlier or was it done by Garda without informing you as mentioned in your FOI

Thanks

No mention of ceremony. Have to fill Declaration of Fidelity form and send back.

Never got second letter or E-vetting request. Garda/Citizenship dept did on their own.

Applied in Feb 2020!

Have to fill Declaration of Fidelity form and send back within 4 weeks to get certificate. It states that if I miss to send back within the 4 weeks (send later than 4 weeks), then I will have to attend a ceremony

Never second letter or E-vetting request. Garda/Citizenship dept did on their own.

Good luck to everyone!

I have decided to make this post maybe it will help others.

I applied for citizenship on 03/02/2020, same day with my children

Warning letter from our solicitor to citizenship 15/11/2021, same with my children. I already made up my mind at this stage to go to court.

Reply from citizenship 26/11/2021 saying don't go to court we will make decision in 12 weeks. I received same reply on behalf of my children separately for each child.

Approval received 28/01/2022 (I was outside Ireland when approval came). Approval for myself only.

Declaration of Fidelity form, copy of GNIB, copy of Passport biodata page, €950 all done on 07/02/2022

Acknowledgement of 950 payment received by email same day on 07/02/2022

Today, i received an email from citizenship with subject "Update on Citizenship Certificate Fee", saying (A Citizenship Certificate Fee was processed on 10/02/2022. You will receive a letter from this office in due course regarding the final stage of your Citizenship application.).

Awaiting certificate for myself.

But, still awaiting approval for my children.

I hope this helps.

Anyone know how long will it take to receive certificate from the day all documents sent in and 950 paid online?
