You should be able to. There is a category for WAB permissions if you attempt to do an online renewal, so if you can supply needed documents, go for it.
(guide is for Dublin online renewal system, but I'd say they'll ask form something similar if you're outside Dublin on your appointment)

As far as I am aware, one cannot renew WAB permission as one needs to apply for EU3 WAB Card before its expiry via that route.

This may not be relevant to what you want to pursue, on rare occasions, people who have been lucky have obtained Irish citizenship without EU3 approval but these are people who applied for EU3 and Citizenship in the same time.

Note: My understanding is one can only request for extension only if you have a pending EU3 application

I agree with Raja, that EU 1 for joining family members, but you cannot renew it. You go for PR after you complete the period. If the British citizen ends exercising treaty rights before 5 year, then a British person cannot re-establish rights under the agreement.
