I got an email from Abu Dhabi on 21st of Januray that visa application has been issued. Do we know how long it takes for Lahore pick up site to send a notification to collect passport?

Do we know a timeline for it?

Finally received the issued email today biometrics done on 16th Dec 21 vfs karachi and issued email received today at 9:20am, 25-1-2022. Will share the complete timeline in the timeline thread once passport is collected.

Have you received visa in past or is it your first visa?

Yes I had the 5 years visa which will expiring next month and now I applied for the 10 years one.

I have got my mothers passport today with the visa but we were told that my fathers passport has not yet arrived. May be next week. It is annoying and frustrating.

Others have experienced same, be patient and hopefully within a week(based on past reports) his passport should be out.

Submitted biometrics on 29th December, still waiting for an email from the embassy. Has anyone else who applied at a similar time heard back on their applications?
Gov UK have updated their website on 3rd Feb to show on the visitor visa processing times section that it is currently taking 6 weeks on average to process applications.

Biometric in Lahore: 24th of November.

Received 'issued' email from Abu Dhabi: 21st of Jan

Mother's passport received on 1st of Feb while Father's passport received on 7th of Feb.


Visa issued on both passports.

Submitted biometrics on 29th Dec, still waiting to hear back. Now a days trend is 40-60 days

Applied for my mother's visit visa and the biometrics were done on 25 Jan at Gerry's Lahore, and received the email to confirm that the application had been dispatched the same day.

We're obviously past the 15 working days limit but there is no update on the status and it looks like, it might take a few/lot more days considering the delays other people in this forum have experienced.

They received an email “UK application has been issued” on 18 Feb.

Now, we are waiting for the passport collection.

Based on current trends on this forum, “issued” means “approved”. Passport collection can take anywhere between 1-2 weeks after.
You are lucky that you have heard back from the embassy in 2 weeks! I applied in December and am still waiting to hear back.

My parents applied for 6 month visit visa. Their timeline are below:

Biometric: 02 Feb 2022
Visa decision email: 18 Feb 2022 (UK visa application has been issued)
Passport collection email: 23 Feb 2022

Received passport today & 6 months visa granted

My father applied on 8th Feb and biometrics was submitted on 14th Feb (from Islamabad). The VISA issued email from UKVI is received on 22nd Feb. So 2 weeks time after application submission.

It seems like UKVI is processing visit VISA applications faster now.
