Hello Warid6955321

Thank you so much for such a prompt reply.

I've lost my sleep over the last few days trying to gather all the documents they ask but obviously running a bit late.

So if I use these next few days for a breather, it won't affect my application as long as I upload the documents within the 10 days they have set out, right?

Thank you

Hi Adebim.

4 months is too long for a fee waiver application.
Normally, it takes up to 2 months. I think, Home Office don’t want to take too long to make a decision as your financial situation might change.

That said, it is HO, things might have changed. For instance FLR(fp). I read somewhere last year that the decision can take up to 8 weeks but around that time read on this forum most of applicants got their decision after 6 months

It shouldn't be taking too long. HO mostly decide in 8 weeks. If casework need more information they call u. May be u missed any emails or call from HO. This can make ur application taking long.

Hi everyone,
Good news today as my almost 11 months flr ( first time applicants) was granted today. I want to encourage those still waiting for a response from HO to be steadfast and never give up. There is always light at the end of the tunnel.

An extension is valid from the date of approval. It is not and never has been, tagged onto the expiry date if the last visa.

Can u please let me know the expiry date of ur previous brp and for the new.

I applied flr fp fee waiver first extension August 2021. Fee waiver approved October 2021. Online application submission end of October 2021. Take a while to get Biometric appointment. Biometric done 3rd February 2022. Anyone have any ideas about when my time limit will start? Is that from October 2021 or February 2022 afrer the Biometric done? Also because my fee waiver was approved so is home office allowed the public fund straight way after granted the visa or I need to apply separately for that? Please let me know.
Thanks all.

Home office taking 6 months to give decision after biometric in those days, You will get limited leave to remain with public fund, after grant of visa you are able to claim public funds

Hello. I have a question. When you applied for a fee waiver, did you get an extension or been given the right to work? I’m currently working and my flr fp (10 year route) expires on March 11. My concern is if I submit a fee waiver, will I be able to continue working until a decision is reached by the HO?

Thank you.

This extended leave is known as Section 3C leave, under Section 3C of the Immigration Act 1971. This means that as long as you applied for a fee waiver 28 days or less before your leave expires, you don't need to worry if you haven't had a response from the Home Office by the time your existing leave expires, After HO decision you have 10 days to apply leave to remain. you are able to work and your leave will extended under Section 3C of the Immigration Act 1971 and even Ho refused Fee waiver and you still have 10 days to apply leave to remain and it will not effect on you and your leave will continue.

Please everyone don't forget to upload your processing times and if you've received your decision. Currently waiting 7 months. Feels like years. I don't like this waiting game. It's okay if we all had a timeframe but that is not the case here. I haven't seen anyone get a reply since end of December. I know people on here who have been waiting for over 9 months. Please do update. Best of luck everyone.

Hi Rocky,
One member “Coloko” got his visa on 9th of Feb 2022 after 11 months waiting. My biometrics done on 24th May 2021 and it’s been 9 months so still waiting. There is no way to escalate it now a days. Waiting is so painful. Is this your first application or extension? And when did you have biometrics.?

This is my timeline:

Fee Waiver Request Submitted: 19th May 2021

Fee Waiver Accepted: 12th July 2021
FLR FP Application Submitted Online: 19th July 2021

Documents Received: 29th July 2021 by 12pm

It's my first application. Hence why I'm so worried. Yes I just remembered that one member posted recently. The timeframe seems to be getting longer.

Thank you for responding Wiki7. It brings some hope that we are all on the same loophole and equally stressed. I pray you get yours soon. Good luck!

Application type FLR FP first extension - Super priority.
Application Submitted and documents uploaded: 10/02/2022
Biometrics Enrolled on: 16/02/22 - 09:00am
The decision of Application: Approved - 12:00pm.

Took around three hours in total.

Super Priority is worth it if you can afford it.

It shouldn't be taking too long. HO mostly decide in 8 weeks. If casework need more information they call u. May be u missed any emails or call from HO. This can make ur application taking long.
Thank you for responding.
I later got an email from HO to correct a mistake on my application because i applied with my dependent and that it will be fast tracked.
I reapplied and again got an email after 2 weeks to resubmitted my evidence. The evidence i sent earlier is not useful anymore because its not showing my current situation expecially bank statement. It is really stressful.
I have resumitted all evidence now.. Waiting for their response.
