You need to give it back in order to receive the naturalization certificate.

Most likely they'll ask you for it in the website and won't send you the certificate until they receive it

Did they ask you to send your irp card back ? They didn't ask me . So I didn't send. Even after receiving the naturalisation cert I didn't hear anything from them about sending the card back .

Yes it says on letter that I need to send original IRP cards with the declaration of loyalty....but it's strange they are asking some people for IRP card not everyone..

did they specify irp card or travel document. because irp card is not actually the travel document they mean. Please post the line in your approval letter that indicated to send the irp card.

Hi All ,
The same here , I got my application approved and it doesn't say that I should return my IRP/GNIB card .
They need a scanned copy only .
I'm holding a Permanent residence .
