Change from Stamp 1G to Stamp 1

Hi,

I hold a stamp 1G and wish to change to stamp 1. I meet the eligibility requirements but my question is that is it possible to apply for stamp 1 before the current stamp 1G expires. The expiration date is Oct 2022 and we're only in March.

Yes you can and should apply for Stamp 1 at the earliest opportunity.

I think you can apply for Stamp 1 as soon as you're elegible (got a working permit), no need to wait for 1G to expire.

If you have a work permit and therefore qualify to switch to stamp 1 then expiry date doesnt matter
