Skilled worker visa granted a year less

Hi,

My solicitor has applied for 3 year extension for me but VISA is approved only for 2 years. I am now short of 20 days for ILR application.
Solicitor informed that this was a mistake from UKVI.

Will the UKVI amend the dates on BRP if my solicitor contacts them?

SW 18.1. The applicant will be granted entry clearance or permission to stay until 14 days after the end date of their certificate of sponsorship (which may be up to a maximum of 5 years after the start date of their certificate of sponsorship).

The period of leave granted was contrary to SW 18.1. Did you pay the appropriate IHS charges?

Yes Solicitor confirmed that IHS and ISC are paid for 3 years.

The approval letter should contain details about what to do if you think there is an error has been made. Your lawyer should know this well.
