Working while on Spousal Visa.

Hi, is it a requirement to work while on a Spousal visa or just something that’s encouraged, as long as you can meet the £18600 financial requirements between you and your wife that’s all that they worry about. We will easily meet the requirements but as I’m a little older I’m considering a 3 day job and wanted to be sure this would be acceptable and not jeopardise my visa extension next year, thank you for any help.

Employment is not mandatory for the spouse visa holder provides you meet the requirements at each stage of your immigration journey.
