Count 12 months after ILR granted letter or late BRP card date

Post by Moustafamortada » Thu Mar 10, 2022 8:37 pm

Hi,

Please help with advise if any had similar issue.

I had Letter from HO confirming ILR granted through tier 2 route on 6 April 2021. But due to technical issues BRP was only issued 26 May 2021.

Should I count 12 months since letter ILR granted 6April or BRP date 26 May?

P.S.
letter clearly says “ Your application for Indefinite Leave to Remain (Permission to Stay) in the United Kingdom has now been granted. A Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) will be sent to you under separate cover. You should receive your permit(s) within 7 working days. ”

The date on the card is the card issue date.
The date on the letter granting ILR is your start date.
