The declaration. Which made me very happy, as I didn't want to wait for the June ceremony.
Congrats!!

Hope that'll be successful.Based on these measures, my Department's objective is to achieve an improved timeframe of 6-9 months for decisions on a majority of applications during 2022.
Cheers. I hope they issue more approvals for 2020 applicants in the coming months.Patience22 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 3:17 pmHelen McEntee said she intends to hold citizenship ceremonies on 20/06, 05/12 & 06/12 in 2022 subject to public health guidelines

Same, my patience is wearing thin. This is an absolute nightmare of a journey in my opinion.raja.brit wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 6:27 pmCheers. I hope that they don't stop with the approvals via post because I might be in time for the next ceremony (early Feb-2021 waiting e-vetting to be sent from garda back to the office, they are approving people from Nov-2020 as we can see on this thread) in June but if not I'll be waiting another 6 months for another ceremony which is just unnecessary. I don't know why they can't keep approving people then invite them over for the ceremony in the future.raja.brit wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 6:27 pmCheers. bad decision...because there is no way to stop a person with Covid from attending an in-person citizenship ceremony.Patience22 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 3:17 pmHelen McEntee said she intends to hold citizenship ceremonies on 20/06, 05/12 & 06/12 in 2022 subject to public health guidelines

That means someone from ISD looked at your e-vetting result. That's the last stage in terms of e-vetting, not sure what more can it possibly be.
Congrats and good call for not waiting for a ceremony! I don't see any pros for choosing to wait for a ceremony to be honest. Especially since the Passport office will probably be under extra pressure after a ceremony (if it happened) and will make the passport process take even longer than it's taking now._pikachu wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 11:24 amFor the question about turn around time....
Applied Feb 2020 and I got the letter for e-vetting in September 2021.
Sept 20th, 2021.... I received the vetting request by email. September 29, 2021....Vetting was disclosed to the citizenship department
No further correspondence until February 2022, when I received the approval letter.
For the question about choosing the ceremony instead
I had the choice of declaring fidelity, submitting the money, and getting the naturalisation certificate by post or to wait for the next citizenship ceremony, no dates were set. I chose to receive the certificate by post because
1. I waited long enough and wanted to start the passport application before covid cases surge again
2. There is no guarantee the ceremonies will, indeed, commence
3. If the ceremony doesn't commence before my visa expires, I would have to pay €300 in stamp 4 renewal.
