Hi Eledumare
No luck yet, home office ask my wife birth certificate for relationship and I send them straight away, but still no luck waiting
I would say that’s some progress, I think they are starting to consider your application. Hopefully this coming week we are both able to receive our decision letters and card. 🙏🏾

Hi,

I’m still waiting, no response or update yet.

The wait is killing me. Fingers crossed for this week hopefully. I need to buy a plane ticket before the prices shoot up.
But can’t do anything until I get the approval.

Hey all,

Just wanted to post my timeline.

1st extension on FLR(FP)
Visa expired 29/01/22
Fee waiver submitted: 25/01/22
Fee waiver request for more evidence: 11/03/2022(46 days)
Further evidence: Not submitted yet

I did not use solicitor nor will I ever do.

It seems they are taking around 5 weeks for most fee waiver applications to either come to a decision or to request more evidence as I have heard of other people taking 5 weeks for their fee waiver.

Such an ordeal dealing with HO but hey, what can we do right?!

In some cases it takes more than 5 weeks. I applied for fee waiver on 18/01/22 and still waiting.

Hi Eledumare

I received below reply from Home office yesterday about my application

Dear Sir,

Thank you for forwarding documents regarding your request for us to expedite your application.

We have accepted your expedite request. Please note this expedite acceptance is not an indication of the outcome. As with all applications, your application may be subject to enquiries with other Government departments and international organisations to ensure that statutory requirements have been satisfied. The extent and length of time taken to complete such enquiries varies according to the particular circumstance of each application.

Further information may also be required from yourself to progress the case; the caseworking unit will contact you if such information is required.

Because of those possible enquiries, or the possible need for further supporting evidence, we are unable to provide a timescale for completion; and it would be inappropriate to advise of a guaranteed timescale for completion where that may not be met.

Please note that we will endeavour to progress your application as a priority, and you will be contacted shortly.

Hi Munirabid,

That’s progress, you have received acknowledgment from them. I’m sure they are looking into your application now and you should probably receive a decision soon.

I haven’t heard back from them since I was asked to send a picture to them.

Don’t really know what’s happening and how long it will take.

Just anxiously waiting for a response from them.

Fingers crossed we receive our good news soon.

Hello,

I have just got a message from someone here from this forum and she applied for a fee waiver on the 17th of January and got a decision today. I have applied myself on 26th and still waiting for a response. I have not heard from HO since submitting the application.

I think its taking around 5 weeks for them to process.

If you have applied before your current visa has expired, you will have 10 days to submit your FLR FP once you get a decision with regards to the fee waiver. If successful, they will give provide you with a code so you can go past the payment page without having to pay for the fee. If they reject your request, then you'll also have 10 days to rob the Bank of England and get the money to pay for the application as there's no other way. You can't appeal if they refuse.(Please don't take the Bank of England thing seriously).

Since you've applied before your visa expired, you'll be fine. Just sit back and relax, no reason to stress about it as it's out of your hands now.

Everyone, feel free to correct me if I said anything wrong.

Best wishes

Hello every one?

My flr fp 4th renewal expires on 26.03.2022 i applied for fee waiver on 11.02.2022 i have not received reply yet it says waiting for update. My question is if my visa expires before i receieve reply for fee waiver what happens then? And if they dont give me fee waiver and my visa expires what happens then? If any one has applied for fee waiver how long does it take to process?

Thank you
vini81

Hello #vini81

Thanks for reply my fee waiver got approved and visa expires on 24/03/2022. So do I complete visa application now and can I do priority? How many days are we allowed to travel per year so I add all and how many days over course of 10 years.

Hello,

So you got approved? Congrats!

From what I can understand, you are not allowed to be away for more than 90 days(or three months) in a space of 12 months. So if you are on a 10 year route, that's 7 months and a half for each 2.5 years.

You have 10 days to apply. When did you get a decision for the fee waiver?

I'm not quite sure about the super priority because if you claimed you couldn't pay for the fees as you probably couldn't afford them, how come you have enough money to pay for the super priority fee? Depending on the number of applicants, let's say you are 3x, that's £2400 for all of you. This would be enough money to part pay for the fees. It's hard to know how HO analizes your affordability but I would think twice before paying for super priority.

Please note I am not saying that you are not allowed to, this is just my vague interpretation but I could be wrong. It would be great if someone with more experience in this forum could shed a light on this matter.

Best wishes

Where does it state that a person on FLR(FP) cannot be away from the UK for 90 days in 12 months???

Dear CR001,

If you read well, I said that 'From what I can understand' instead of pointing to a 'place where it says a person on bla bla bla'.

I have also mentioned : ''Please note I am not saying that you are not allowed to, this is just my vague interpretation but I could be wrong. It would be great if someone with more experience in this forum could shed a light on this matter.

I do not think your approach is helpful when instead of sheding a light on the issue, from what I can see you do have more experience than me, you actually sort of attack my post.

I am here to learn and help with what I can. I am also careful for not spreading false information, that is the reason I stated that 'I could be wrong'.

Two months after applying for fee and IHS waivers and having not received a decision I emailed the Team last night to chase it up and received a decision today.

Visa application fee waiver was rejected but the IHS was accepted. I currently work for the NHS and have done so since 2013.
