IELTS Life Skill validity

Post by M-N » Tue Apr 05, 2022 5:29 am

Dear all

My wife has submitted her spouse visa application and recognised a potential issue with her English test result validity. She took the test (B1) on 26 March 2020 and the certificate was awarded on 23 April 2020 (the date shown below Administrator’s signature). She always thinks the result will be valid until 23 April 2022.

She submitted her spouse visa application online on 02 April 2022. Was the result still valid? Does she need to cancel the current application and take the test again before reapplying?

Thank you very much and look forward to hearing from you soon. She is very worried now :(

The UK gov webpage says you can use the IELTS B1 if it was already accepted in a previous application. So she doesn't need to cancel the current application form. And also, she shouldn't need to sit another IELTS B1 test for further applications unless the rules change and she's ask to do it. So I hope she didn't cancel that application :|
