I just submitted my Zambrano paper application after I was refused 2020 because I still got 2 years on my leave to remain. My leave to remain will expires in a weeks time so I put in the application. I pray the process/response is quick and positive

Or will they say this is what the rule will be from a date in the future (a date in may 2022)?

Is when the law enforcer rethinks of its rules either because a court has asked to be done or they had foresee a wrongness in the wording.

This is a lay person's definition so that I could be understood.

This question is really hard to answer. The SSHD is more chameleon than the reptile itself. Look through my old post, I have visage what HO could do because they argued some or a bit when the Akinsanya was at the HC.

The worse would be that, those who never applied for EEA Zambrano under regulation 16 and jumped straight to Appendix EU 2016 Zambrano could be asked to start their right under the EU Exit Separation Agreement from the day they were given or issued their Leave.

Again HO could say that those who applied after 30th of June 2021 can't use the Sanneh vs SSHD under zambrano to count the number of years that they could have been eligible to indefinite(5Yrs Continues Stay)

Also the court case didn't address those who married and had Appendix FM as a partner and had British children and are now wanting to take advantage of Appendix EU Zambrano DR.

What I know is that Zambrano is going to be there foe a long time and challenges would be done by barristers. Anything about HO is impunity.

This is my perspective; not the law and cannot be relied on for any argument.

I have Leave to remain on 10 year route
I applied Zambrano case 2021 june
Received acknowledgment August 2021
Received fingerprints invitation Feb 2022
Logged fingerprints 14th March 2022
Waiting for decision.
I still have valid Leave to remain expiring in Feb 2024.
I don’t know if we will get positive outcome for Zambrano application.
If any one received any positive for similar applications?

I have been granted settled status under zambrano

My story ,I have had for 6 years and 6 month zambrano rights on July 2018 leave to remain under 10 years partner route which expired on January 2021
November 2020 I submitted an application under euss settlement scheme for settled status and the granted me pre settled status for 5 years February 2021
After the akinsanya case I applied again for settled status under zambrano February 2022 and finally they granted settled status on 18 April
