Naturalisation Eligibility Criteria

Post by Jz781704 » Wed Apr 27, 2022 2:23 pm

Hi,
I have completed 2017 days according to the residency calculator. But I had to travel to India in Dec 2020 for more than 6 weeks. I came back on 26th of Jan 2021 and according to ISD the year preceding application time should not have gaps for more than 6 weeks. I have reduced those 6 weeks from my residence currently. My residence is starting from Oct 2015 , so have calculated eligible year from Oct. Should I wait till next Oct to apply or Can I still go ahead and apply for this ?

If you were away for 2 months, then it should be residency days - 60 days and total should be still 5 years (1826 days or smth).

After that when you apply, for the immediate year before, you shouldn't have more than 6 weeks absence. So if you apply in 27.04.2022, you shouldn't be out of Ireland for more than 6 weeks between 27.04.2021 - 27.04.2022.

If your residency days are met, just find a time frame that you are not away for more than 6 weeks in a year, then you are good to apply.

Score Card for Department of Social welfare annual statement

Post by Jz781704 » Wed Apr 27, 2022 2:40 pm

Hi,

The score card has 50 points for Department of Social welfare annual statement . When I go in to my revenue to generate this , there are two statements available

1) Statement of contributions
2) Statement of Payments

I have never received any payments from social welfare. But had PRSI contributions done in all 5 years in past.

When I generated the statement of Payments, it show the current address and not the address where I was resident during the period of statement. Is a statement with current address sufficient for payment done for all 4 years?
Will that count as 50 points for each year ?
