IHS Query

Post by sameerb » Sat Mar 12, 2022 9:25 am

Hello everyone,
I would be really grateful, if somone could help me find the right answers for following query _

I am going to apply for spouse visa extension in April from within the UK. My wife is a British citizen.

Do I need to pay IHS charge? If yes then how much, also what is the application fee for one applicant pls?

Thanks in advance.

Yes you have to pay IHS.

Visa fee is £1033 and IHS is £1560 plus the UKCVAS fee if there are no free appointments
Char (CR001 not Casa)

It is good when findings on what is required can be done early to ensure documents are in place and finances/required fees are sorted or arranged for.

Spouse Not Present in The Country

Post by sameerb » Tue Mar 29, 2022 12:17 pm

Hi all,

Hope everyone is well.

I am in a situation where I am applying for spouse visa extension on 22nd April and wife is going abroad for 1 month from 23rd April. (My visa expiring on 20 May)

Is there a way around this?

Do we need to send original british passport with application or photocopy is enough?

Thanks in advance

Everything about the application is done online, supporting documents are scanned and uploaded online, nothing is sent by post or mail to Home Office. So scan and upload the passport.

You can straight away and upload these - be careful as you only get one chance to review the document before it cannot be viewed again (by you) or removed.
