Name format on naturalisation certificate

Post by dolphin21 » Wed May 04, 2022 12:07 pm

I have received my naturalisation certificate with part of name written within stars but it is not clear if it is surname or first name.

full name: *xxxx* yyyy

is xxxx supposed to be surname or first name? I have tried looking at official guides but it is not mentioned anywhere. I wish they could mention it clearly on the certificate

Thanks

Not mentioned anywhere and nothing new, all certificates are filled in this way. Like mine from a few years back.
