UK born child can directly register as British when one parent gets ILR. No need for such a child to hold ILR

From July 2022, such children can settle after 7 years. What is the immigration status of the father ?

A UK born child can register as British once a parent gets ILR. However, as your circumstances are not straightforward I advise against not applying for her

Hi Zimba,

Thanks for reply. I came to know .. uk born child will be able to apply for Ilr immediately after spent first seven years even though if they don’t hold any valid leave to remain previously.

Any way my concern she already have a visa which going to expire 8 months earlier than her 7 years reach about that gap period.

By the way I am not applying now still I have enough time so I will research.

Thanks again for your co-operation
