Previous Immigration History- Skilled Worker

Post by ankit22shah » Fri May 13, 2022 3:16 pm

Hi all, this is my first post but keeps following your valuable advice from
time to time. First of all I summarise my immigration history.
Went to UK on student visa in 2008 for MBA course. Granted Post study work
visa and in 2010 applied for Tier 1 and granted ( self employed & job).
2012 renewal rejected but won through court and granted extension. In 2014
while returning from India with my wife, stopped at Heathrow and issued
IS81 and IS96 with temporary admission liable to be detained. Home office
asked the paperwork which I submitted but they keep calling after every 2
weeks with more and more documents. As my work right cancelled I finally
fed up and voluntarily departed on my own expenses before any final
decision. The issue was that I went through financial difficult after my
first rejection and issues on job front, I did not pay the self employment
tax.
Now in 2022 I got a job offer ( skilled worker) and my question is that do
my previous immigration history will affect me negatively and my chances to
get visa. Also in my application where it is mentioned that did your visa
ever rejected and have you ever refused entry to any country, what will be
answer to this question.
Looking for your reply and Please advice

Re-applying UK Skilled worker visa- left UK in 2014 with tax due

Post by ankit22shah » Tue May 24, 2022 2:48 pm

Dear all
Need your urgent advice.

I voluntarily left UK in 2014 as I got few issues regarding my self employment. When I left I did not inform HMRC about leaving as I was unaware that I have to inform them. Now I got skilled work visa for UK in 2022. Now my question is that this unpaid tax from HMRC will affect me now and how can I rectify this after 8 years. What are my chances to get the visa. Need urgent help.

Wont be any issue. I have seen cases where they left uk with pending debts and came back after 8 years on skilled worker visa without any issue. You wont be asked any questions on the visa application form with regards to your previous financial status.
