Yep online payment, digital photo (best to get a professional one to meet requirements), scan of passport and IRP card.

Just submitted all that online so hopefully confirmation and invite to ceremony will come soon.

Now have to figure out getting from Dublin to Killarney (don't drive!) - any info on how these ceremonies usually run? Are they early in the day and should we be there the night before? Seems like there is likely to be a mad rush on accommodation as invites come through.
I think there is train service from Dublin to Killarney. If you book early you may get it for 55 EUR two ways.

Any idea on timings or when it will be over? Don't want to book the wrong times. Seems like we're not gonna get a lot of warning

Not sure about timings, I am still waiting for the invitation. I will let you know the timings if I get it before you. I am planning to go one day before and stay there anyway.
Thanks

I do see a reference number for the online account that I created today which triggered an email confirmation.
Hi Raja,

I am now in the same stage like you were - waiting for email now after the payment. How long did it took you to receive the email confirmation after the completed payment? My Acknowledgment ID is currently blank like it was on your side during your first attempt.

All the best.
Hi. I got the confirmation within few minutes.

When you click on ‘My Form’ in the home page and click on ‘Submitted’ tab, do you see a reference number beneath Citizenship certificate fee section?

Note: When I submitted the payment accidentally in my mom’s account on Saturday, there was no email n no reference number under ‘Submitted’ tab. May be her account was inactive.

So made payment again today by creating new account and also emailed Citizenship to cancel first one.
I've also got no receipt from payment and form is sitting in "Submitted" section, while "Acknowledgement ID" is blank. Payment is processing on card so it definitely went through. I guess it needs to be processed manually on their end so im surprised your receipt for 2nd payment was instant Raja.

I used a login for the site in my name that was previously used for renewing IRP card.

You will get shortly.

I ended up getting email acknowledgment for the 1st payment that I made on Saturday on following Monday around 830pm. May be it was a weekend thing.

I created a new account under my name for 2nd payment coz I thought the first payment could cause issue at it was mum’s online account. I also didn’t receive any confirmation for 1st payment on Monday during the day and thought it could be coz of incorrect account.

The 2nd payment confirmation was instant. Now I have made 2 payments and confirmation for both, lol.

Already emailed online team to refund the duplicate one but not heard anything back.

Don’t worry, you will get 2 emails, one for acknowledgment of payment and 2nd for confirmation of processing of payment.

Thanks so much for the info! Right, I don't drive either....what are the photo requirements? I might get it done in advance at the photographer because I'm not good with these things...

5 weeks after turning around the declaration I just got a letter in claiming that the solicitor and myself had put in different dates. FIVE WEEKS to evaluate a form. I dispute that it's different dates as I remember holding off until I was in his office.

Went the to same solicitor again, signed another form, straight to the post office and sent registered. Another €8 gone.

I do have an FOI/GDPR request in and they had pushed to close two days ago. I stated that I was not happy to close until my cert was in my hands. I suspect this is the only reason I got the letter asking for another declaration.

I'm glad I kept it open! I also took photographs of the form before sending this time .

I'm half tempted to follow through with the FOI/GDPR just to see the dates on the form submitted as I'm sure they were the same.

Did you think you had the same dates on the form?

I've been waiting certificate for the seventh week now. I sent them feu emails, but no one answered.
Don't know what to do about it, maybe I also need to request FOI/GDPR to get an answer?
That's a bit wired that they react only to the FOI requests.

Hi everybody,
Can I ask those of you who went through the 950 euro online payment already:
- Do you need to upload every page of your passport or just the first 2
- What are the picture requirements (such as size for example), would it be the same as for passport: https://www.dfa.ie/passports/photo-guid ... italphotos ?
Cheers

Only the Biometric pages, which are the first two pages(I normally do first and last two). The passport photo spec is same as in the link above. Also, I received a letter with details of the photo reqirement along with approval.

Anyone else from 2020 still haven't heard from them? I guess if nothing comes today then we're not going to be included for this ceremony and have to wait until December. Really didn't see this coming as I thought my application was a straight-forward case but apparently it isn't.

Minister of Justice replied on 10th May, 2022 that "There are currently 26,934 applications on hand at various stages of processing"

https://www.justice.ie/en/JELR/Pages/PQ-10-05-2022-619

but on 17th May, 2022, Minister of Justice replied in tabular form (quite Important) by showing how many application received and processed from 2017 to till now in monthly data

According to which 12929 applications are pending.. Which seems quite contradictory because there is difference of 14005 applications

|Year |Number of applications received | Number of Applications decided |Average Processing Time (Months)
2017 11,777 9,190 7
2018 12,868 11,139 10
2019 12,307 9,319 12
2020 10,775 5,143 13
2021 11,981 11,512 23
2022 5,034 5,510 19

https://www.justice.ie/en/JELR/Pages/PQ-17-05-2022-600

If anyone is applying JR, Solicitor should raise this point and ask right data.

The real question should be:

How many applications for naturalisation are still pending for those who applied pre 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020?

And ....

Why are they not seen as matter of urgency?

Received confirmation of payment email "A Citizenship Certificate Fee was processed on 20/05/2022. You will receive a letter from this office in due course regarding the final stage of your Citizenship application."

Is this the same wording as received by others? No mention of June ceremony. I am hoping to receive an invite. I've read the threads from previous years and I note that several people who followed the payment process still didn't get included in the ceremony and had to wait. Really hoping this doesn't happen here.

I feel for the others from 2020 applications who are still waiting for news, it's such a frustrating process with very little transparency.
