British passport interview

Post by kiss300 » Sat May 21, 2022 10:26 am

Hi All,

I have just received an email to book a passport interview. Please may I know who has received just email recently?

May I know if it’s a telephone or one has to go to some office to do this and what should I expect.

This is my first British passport application.

Thank you.

It is an in person interview, so you have to book to go to one of the HMPO offices.

Interviews are to confirm your identity, not to review your application. Many applicants for a first passport are called for interview.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Thank you. I am not happy about it. I feel annoyed because there are others who are applying for the first time and they are not asked to come in. It’s just waste of my time. I am pissed off.

Applicants don't get to decide who goes or does not get called to come in for interview. Probably a random selection.

I didn’t need an interview at the end of the day because I naturalised less than 12 months. The operator then approved my application.

Thanks everyone.
