Collected passport this morning.

Visa approved for myself and my daughter. 6 months entry visa granted along with BRP letters :D

Thank you everyone for your help and support and all the best to you all.

Here's our timeline in glance

Skilled worker dependent visa for myself and daughter (not healthcare, normal)
Sent both applications together
Online: 1.4.2022 Standard, India
Biometrics: 4.4.2022
Received at UKVI email: 4.4.2022
Called UKVI: 25.4.2022 - they said your file is in the queue and will take upto 6 weeks
Called UKVI: 17.5.2022 - they said decision has been made and will take 10 working days
VFS Email: 18.5.2022 - passport ready for collection
Both Passports collected: 19.5.2022

Visa Approved! :)

Roughly 50 calendar days in total and nearly 30 working days excluding bank holidays and weekends.

Thanks drijess13 for providing detailed timeline, it would be useful for others here. Could you please advise whether the entry clearance on your passport is for 30 days or 90 days ? Thanks

Congratulations, Finally you received the VISA.
I can understand the pain when a decision takes more time than usual.

I applied for skilled workers VISA along with a dependent VISA for wife and children on 7/04/2022.
Still I did not received any email.
I did not contact the home office so far and am waiting for the email from the home office.
I just checked yesterday by making login to VFS global site for individual applications. I saw the "Refund Request sent" message for my wife's application.
Whereas rest three application shows the same normal status.

Full Message is
We have received your request for a refund
IF your request for refund is successful your VISA application will be cancelled and money will be returned in next 28 days.

What could be the meaning of this message "Refund Request sent"?

Regards

Biometrics was 23 May.
It’s nearly 8 weeks now and I’m still not getting an update. :( Intended to travel on 19 July, now it seems like I won’t be able to make it.
I tried sending paid email query to track application status, but they replied the same thing every time “your application is awaiting a decision”.

What’s even worse now is that they don’t allow you to contact them via the phone query. Tried to call and got an automatic reply saying that after escalation they have nothing to do to speed up your application. All you can do is just wait.

I’m so frustrated with the Home Office.
