ILR (Resident Permit) and Pakistani Passport

Dear respected forum admin & members,

I have quick general question;

My son have ILR (Resident Permit) and holding Pakistani passport, he booked his flight to Pakistan for 2 weeks holidays and will return to UK on 15 Jun 2022, his passport will expire on 20 Nov 2022, someone said passport validity should be 6 months for visitor but if he hold Resident Permit he can come before expiry of passport or within 3 months validity?.

Please advise.
