I would said that since they are sending certificates from people that send the payment and the declaration around mid April. Probably will be around 2 more weeks before they send invitations. Hopefully sooner.

Nothing mate. Im anxiously waiting, ha. I would be livid if they don’t send it on time n things get pushed to December ceremony.

I also saw someone in forum got e-invitation for ceremony initially.

Not sure if we would be getting an email request before they post the invitation.

Does anybody know more or less until when receiving the approval would still make you eligible for the June ceremony?

I really admire your optimism but realistic if you haven’t received the approval yet than you are not in for June ceremony.

As ceremony is hardly 12 working days away and after getting approval, dept gives roughly 10 days for payment plus will send you invite at least few days or a week before ceremony.

Your only hope is if ISD decides to continue with oath of fidelity via affidavit to clear the backlog for sone more time, may be reach out to TD’s to request minister to continue this process (oath via affidavit) as current backlog is 20k+ application.

I was approved on 13/5/22 and paid 15/5/22, still nothing via post or email regarding the ceremony invitation. 12 working days ago. Will give it another week.

I have booked accommodation anyway for Killarney on the Sunday night as well as the day off work on 21st June, so I'm pre-empting it will go through on time.

Now I'm thinking about something important: what if you go on holidays and in the meantime you receive the approval. Would the citizenship division shut down your application if you don't pay within those 10 days? I find it very bad that they introduced this 10 days rule honestly because on their end they take forever while we can't go see our families or risk to be excluded from the process. Is that the case?

Last year I sent them a letter before I travelled telling them the dates and asking them to automatically extend the time required to respond to any communication during that time. It seemed to work as they've sent back an acknowledgement, although they only sent it a few months after I came back.

Another option is to temporarily forward your posts to a friend's address. I'd do both of these to be on the safe side.

Hello All.
Need some expert opinion please :D
I applied in July 2020 and had my evetting done in March 2022, disclosure viewed , then received letter to submit tax clearance cert on 20 May 2022 after submitting TCC, and demanding decision, my solicitor got the response below.

We are awaiting final background checks in relation to your client's application for naturalisation. It is incumbent on ISD officials to put the complete range of available information to the Minister in order that she can make a fully informed decision on each case. We will be in touch with your office in relation to the above application in dew course

Now I am wondering if anyone can shed some light on it please. As I am totally confused that what info they need from ISD at this stage.

Seems like you are Asian/Pakistani. By background check it could be verifications from Pakistan or your local internal checks in Ireland-not all is revealed

Hi, my husband is in the same situation. Applied 2/May/2021, had his evetting disclosure viewed end of March and he got a letter asking to send tax clearance cert on 26 May 2022.
This looks strange as he sent tax clearance cert with his application on 2/May/2021.
Hopefully this is the final check and he will get his approval soon.

Your friend needs to contact a lawyer to send a warning letter.

I agree, they need to locate his application and let him know what's the deal with all this delay. He wouldn't want to risk losing his application and starting all over again. Last time I checked the citizenship division introduced a new system with requirements that make the whole thing a lot more complicated than it was

Received confirmation of payment email "A Citizenship Certificate Fee was processed on 20/05/2022. You will receive a letter from this office in due course regarding the final stage of your Citizenship application."

Is this the same wording as received by others? No mention of June ceremony. I am hoping to receive an invite. I've read the threads from previous years and I note that several people who followed the payment process still didn't get included in the ceremony and had to wait. Really hoping this doesn't happen here.

I feel for the others from 2020 applications who are still waiting for news, it's such a frustrating process with very little transparency.
I got same email. Hope for the best :D
I got this email on 18th May.

I also got a letter from them for refund next day as I made duplicate payment.

@NiallPP and Optimist1234, do let us know please when you receive the invitation letter 🙏🏾
I got invitation letter :D
