Congratulations to u and your husband - reading this post brought back some memories for me and I still remember that ecstatic feeling too!! My husband is also Albanian and I'm British and we got married in Albania in December 2006. He had his interview in January 2007 which I went out for and afterwards he was told that he would be called - the Embassy did call him, 2 months later and asked him to bring his passport to the Embassy to give him his Visa. I was so sad in January to return home to England without him. I eventually got some time off to work to go out and visit him in March 2007 whilst he was still waiting to hear the outcome of his interview as I was really missing him by this time and it was whilst I was out there with him that he got the call from the Embassy. I still remember the day - his mobile phone battery was almost dead when they called & as soon as the Embassy hung up, his phone battery died on him but we were over the moon!!! My ticket to go back was booked for another week after he got his Visa so we were able to enjoy that week together visiting all his family for the last time for a while and I was so happy knowing that this time he would be coming back to England with me. He was really beginning to hate being stuck in Albania, he'd been there since he was removed as a failed assylum seeker in November 2006, so all over the winter months until March 2007. We are of course still living together and in February next year, he will be applying for his indefinite leave to remain!! Congratulations again and don't forget, start collecting from now all that paperwork u'll need for when the 2 year spouse visa expires!!
