No you cannot. Your existing Tier 2 visa conditions continue while an ILR application is pending, meaning you can only work for your Tier 2 sponsor.Whilst the application is under process, can I switch the employer and join that company?
Thank you Zimba!Zimba wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 4:24 pmI suggest delaying it until you have ILR. You cannot get a BRP outside the UK but getting a new BRP is not really needed for ILR. A name change may only create hassles for you to get on a plane to the UK as names on documents do not match up.
Also before your first British passport is issued, HMPO demands that your name MUST match exactly with your Indian passport or it will be refused.
Assuming you are on a T2/SW visa, If you resign while your ILR application is in process your employer may well inform the HO via the SMS that the letter confirming that they require you to work for them for the foreseeable future is withdrawn and in that case your application will be refused.dewdrops1420 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 10, 2022 7:14 pmIs it possible for me to resign from my sponsored company by July 1 as I will be on notice period for 1 month, so still an employee of the same organisation?
You don't have it till you have it. The foreseeable future is they key word here.dewdrops1420 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 10, 2022 7:14 pmHi,
I have applied for ILR(Set O),biometric on 04th July (priority).I'm hoping that I will get ILR by July 15th.
Is it possible for me to resign from my sponsored company by July 1 as I will be on notice period for 1 month, so still an employee of the same organisation?
Only risk I see is my IL getting rejected which has least possibility.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
dewdrops
