Overlap of Notice period - change of employer

I applied and received new skilled worker visa with a different employer.
But the notice period with my current employer is overlapping with the start date of my new visa.
Can I postpone the start date of my new visa and complete the notice period with my current employer?

What other options are there if my current employer doesn't want to reduce the notice period?

I am planning to initiate Exit process once I complete my Biometrics. Or should I wait till I receive my new Visa ?

Can I continue to be in my existing organization(To serve notice period) even after receiving the new Visa ?

Will the Visa start date be the work start date(as mentioned in COS) ?

You can quit your current job at any time you like. The general recommendation is to wait until receiving a confirmation that the application is successful to hand over the resignation.

The visa start date is the date of issuance, which can be different that the one in the CoS.

Though I have applied my visa with priority service, even after 5 working days I am yet to get an answer. Is anyone experiencing the same? If so, how much delay is expected ?

@ surgunaraj, did you get your visa complete. After how many days? And how about BRP receiving time

I am yet to get my decision. I opted for priority service and it's been 6 working days( +4 days in weekend) and I was told it will take 5 working days.

BRP supposed to take 4 weeks from the day of decision. I got this info from the employee who took my biometrics.
