How will I know my application is complete?

I've applied for ILR for just under 6months now and haven't heard a snippet from the home office. I was wondering how do they let you know your application is successful? Do they email you or do you just get the new biometric card in the post without notice? What should I be looking out for? Thanks you in advance!! Hope you're all enjoying the weather

You will receive an email "Application Update" right after they make a decision, then you will receive your BRP in the post within 7 days usually with tracking email sent separately once it's dispatched.
