Return of original documents - first time passport application

For those who have recently received their naturalisation certificate and applied for their first Irish passport, how long did it take for the required original documents to be returned to you? As far as I can see, I have to submit:

Original birth certificate
Original marriage certificate
Original naturalisation certificate
Original foreign national passport (this is the one that I'm particularly concerned about as I have a few travel plans in the coming months so cannot submit my application if I can't be sure when I will receive my passport back)

Normally you get original documents after you get your original passport

Thanks Hannah! Just to check - do you mean after you receive the Irish passport? So they keep it during the entire processing time?

I got my passport two weeks ago. The original documents were all sent back at the same time - they hold on to it all until the whole process is completed

Yes. You get them after you receive your irish passport. Two weeks after

Ah, thanks for confirming that - it's a little frustrating (I'll have to hold off on that application then until my upcoming travel is done which is a shame to have to delay this). But at least the end of the process is in sight!

Yes. You get them after you receive your irish passport. Two weeks after

You could use a certified colour copy of your passport (ID pages), that worked fine in my case and they didn't ask for original (I also used certified copy of birth certificate)

I got my documents returned a day after I got my passport delivered to me.
