Tourist visa to India - father change of name

Hi,

I'm currently applying for a tourist visa to India using the online application. It asks me for my mother and father names. My dad has recently changed his name, he has had this updated on his UK passport too.

Would I write his new name on my tourist visa application form? Thank you.

I agree. Use his current name.

If you wish, then I think you may also include his previous known names xxx in brackets,

e.g.

(previous known names: xxx)
