Visa for dependent on switch from Tier 2 General to skill visa

Hi All,

Currently I am on Tier 2 General visa granted in 2019 upto 2024. I am planning to switch company and I think my new visa will be skill worker visa.

My query is if my dependents has to apply for new visa (dependent of skill visa) or can continue on existing visa (tier 2 General dependent) as they have validity upto 2024.

Skilled Worker visa: dependants

Your partner or child can apply to extend or switch their visa either:

- at the same time as you apply to extend or switch your own visa
- at any time before their current visa expires

So it doesn't matter if their current leave is on Tier 2 General.
