Hi guys , I just in the middle of applying for my naturalisation but my issue is that my council tax is in arrears. Although I am paying the outstanding every month through the council debt collector company . My question is will my application be successful or not based on this issue. Thanks guys

As long as you are paying off your debt and you can prove that, there shouldn't be any issue.

Hi guys , I just received an email from case work team member asking me to provide proof that I meet the English language requirement. She claimed the one I submitted had expired . I thought you could use the same B1 level qualification despite is over 2 years so far it was used for settlement . Pls I need advise . She said I need to provide this before 29th of July or else mu application would be rejected.

You can only use an expired test if the test and test provider is still on the ukvi approved list.
Whi did you do the test with and are they still on the current approved list?

I did my test in 2016 when I applied for ILR. On UKVI website it says it does not matter even if the B1 level test you took is not in the current list of recognised test. You don’t ve to take another test. So far the B1 level test was accepted when you settled in the UK.

I just checked the list of UKVI approved providers and Trinity college is still on the list . I want to believe the caseworker made an error . I will reply and refer to the information on UKVI website regarding expired test for citizenship. Thanks appreciate your time and effort

Used before successfully, still on approved list means should be accepted.
Keep forum updated.

Just to let you guys know the GESE certificate that was issued in 2016 was not accepted by UKVI. They claimed I had never used before for any previous application. Very strange cause it was used in 2016 when I applied for ILR. I was asked to go and do another ESOL. I am raging just now …..

I had to do another exam. I think it was my own doing . I checked my downloaded application and I realised I said No when I was asked if I had used my English GESE B1 Certificate previously in an application. I was supposed to say Yes

Thanks hattrick71.
Hope everything is fine now! Wish you all the best!
In which section of the online application should we say YES where you said NO?

Is it this section:
Do you have a previous visa, entry clearance or leave to remain where you had to prove your knowledge of English? Yes
Tell us the previous visa, entry clearance or leave to remain you had: Indefinite Leave to Remain

That’s the section . I had already proved knowledge of English in a previous application which was my indefinite leave to remain in 2016.

With your subsequent update now understand reason for above from HO.
Takes reviewing the application time and time again to ensure no error cost you the time and fees expended.

Remains unanswered. Some ILR routes had no English language requirements.
