Dear Members
Will the spelling difference in the documents have an impact on my ILR decision.

Thanks !
In our case the situation is as below:
The name with different spelling (one letter is missing)is in my UK Naric and degree certificate alone.
We have the government gazette documents for the name change as well.
All my other documents(current BRP,Passport,Marriage Certificate,Pay slip,Bank statement,utility bills etc...)have the name with additional R.
Will it make sense for me to declare it in my ILR application stating yes for the question ''Have you been known by any other name''
The only concern have is that i had not declared it when i had applied for Tier 2 visa initially.
I need your expert opinion whether to declare now in my ILR application are not .
I can declare it now but dont want to be picked up stating that i had not declared it earlier.
Kindly advise.

Provide all the evidence you have if you have changed your name. This is not a big issue

Hi All
I have few queries on the ILR application .
1)Have you previously lived in a country outside the UK including your country of birth?
For the above question I have lived in UK on Tier 2 ICT dependent Visa for a year and then travelled to home country for switching over to my Tier 2 General Main applicant visa .
Do i have to capture this period under the countries i have lived in.
Since it is asking for countries outside UK i think i can ignore my stay in UK.
Could someone confirm.
Regards
K

I assume you always lived in your country of birth before moving here. It is not about travels

This period falls outside the 5 year period .
Could you clarify pls.

You don't have to mention it. The form clearly asks
Have you previously lived in a country outside the UK including your country of birth?
So no need to mention time you spent in the UK in that question.
All advice comes from personal research and experience and should not be regarded as professional opinion.

Hi All
Would like to know when I can submit the application for ILR under Tier 2 General/skilled worker visa
I assume that the application will be deemed to be submitted once the biometric is done .
Visa Issued-18th Dec 2017
Entered UK on -30th Dec 2017
Can I submit the application on 25th Nov 2022 and do the biometric later .
Or should I submit the application only after 30th Nov 2022.
A bit confused. Pease help.

25th of November is fine.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

You have been advised more than once already that you can apply no sooner than within 28 days before the initial visa ISSUE date!!

Hi members
Planning to submit my ILR application on 25th Nov unmoderated Tier 2 skilled worker visa.Have few queries as mentioned below :
1.Regarding bank statements, the latest bank statement would be of Oct.Will that suffice or should I produce transaction statement from my bank since the bank statement would be dated 1st Oct while I submit on 25th November.
2.Also is there a need to provide a covering letter.
Below are the documents list of docs I am planning to submit:
1.Passport copies for 3 of us
2.BRP copy
3.Absence letter from employer
4.Continous employment letter
5.Proof of cohabitation for the past 3 years
utility bills
Council tax bills
Water bills
6.Salary slips for the past 3 months
7.Bank statements for the past 3 months
8. Consent letter
9.Marriage Certificate
10.Birth certificate for my child
Are the above docs suffice .Am I missing something.
Please clarify.Thanks.

Hi Members
While filling up the form i could see they are asking for the below consents.
Declaration of consent for the Home Office to request verification checks
Declaration of third party consent for joint bank or utility account holders
Both the forms are one and the same. Do I have to submit them twice?
1)One signed form by my wife and myself for Declaration of consent for the Home Office to request verification checks.
2)Another signed form by my wife and myself for Declaration of third party consent for joint bank or utility account holders
Will it suffice if I just submit one set of forms rather than two.
Kindly Clarify.

Hi Members
Few more queries
1)Do I have to provide any proof of absence for my wife who is a dependent applicant?
2)I had changed company under tier 2 general visa. Had travelled to home country on two occasions for a period of 10 days once and another for two days. This travel took place during 2018 and 2019 while with the previous employer. I do not have any absence letter from my previous employer. Are there any other options for us to provide the evidence other than employer letter. Can I submit boarding pass along with a covering letter explaining that there is no response from my previous employer?
3)I had travelled back to my home country to switch over from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 general visa .
The visa was issued on 14/12/2017 and I entered UK on 30th Dec 2017.How should I show the above absence? I am entering the date as 30/12/2017 for my entry date .Can I show the above absence under the question where it is asking about the period I lived outside UK?
Regards
K
