She has a right to visit the UK for up to 6 months per calendar year or till expiration of visa (depending on which comes first). Often times, it's the 6 months.themusicman wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 12:39 pmThis might be off-topic or might sound a bit aggressive.
I would like to ask is there a set limit for how long a family member could stay in the UK under a visitor visa?? or just generally 180 days each year?
My mother in law is using her visitor visa to come to the UK for the past 3 years. Recently she is planning to separate my wife and me because of her disliking of me. She is now trying to bring/separate my daughter and my wife back to Asia where they belong.
To prevent this from happening further/ perhaps next year, and as she is also having these thoughts to ruin my family, I would just like to ask, is there a set limit/ raise suspicion to the border control, for her to visit this many times throughout the past 3 years? As I have heard in some cases that if you come too often, e.g. 5 months per year, they have a chance of not giving you a visitor visa because of suspicion of work in the UK.
Thank you so much for all your help.

It is not calendar year. It is 6 months per 12 month cycle.Ticktack wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 3:34 pmShe has a right to visit the UK for up to 6 months per calendar year or till expiration of visa (depending on which comes first). So sorry to hear about your situation - that’s typical Mother-in-laws, just inform UKVI that she’s working here lolthemusicman wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 12:39 pmThis might be off-topic or might sound a bit aggressive.

It's not right to assume the mother in law is at fault without knowing the details and tell OP to lie to UKVI.sam550 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 23, 2022 3:20 amSo sorry to hear about your situation - that’s typical Mother-in-laws, just inform UKVI that she’s working here lolthemusicman wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 12:39 pmThis might be off-topic or might sound a bit aggressive.
