Urgent Advice needed EUSS

Hi

My friend is French national. He is living in UK and have pre settled status. His wife and one son are living in India. He applied for family entry clearance as EUSS family permit which was refused and then appeal allowed and family is waiting to submit their passport to get 6 months EUSS Family Permit to enable them to travel to UK. In September 2022, His son came to UK on student visa.he has student visa valid for 2 years
Now will son has to go back to India to get his entry clearance sticker on his passport along with mother or he cal directly apply within UK in any other way?
