£400 Energy Support for all UK Households - Skilled Worker?

Post by ska_abbas » Sun Oct 02, 2022 8:39 pm

Hello there,

you might be aware that UK Govt is offering £400 energy support to all households in the UK with electricity/gas connection. I am not sure whether this comes in public support or not. I have tried to look for answers but couldn't figure out.

The Gov.Uk website (https://www.gov.uk/government/news/400- ... his-winter) doesnt mention anything about migrants.

Are skilled worker visa holders eligible to receive this. If not, how can we avert this?

Thanks

The provisions for energy support don't come under public funds according to the official list on gov.uk https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... blic-funds

It states that households will be getting this £400. It's for every household who has an electric account.

All the borrowed money to fund all these various cost of living payments, will have to be paid back in the future through our taxes.
